Something Original

"The Latest" ends up being the title of most of my blogs, so I decided to mix it up a bit.  In January, we took our first family trip on a Disney cruise for seven days and spent two days (afterwards) in Disneyland as well.

In February, Kraig and I went to Hawaii for eight days while Nanna Kay so graciously watched Kinlee.

And Kinlee got her helmet off.

I think we're all vacationed out for a while, but we sure did have fun!!!

Nine Months Old

Kinlee had her nine month check-up today.  She's 95% in length, 50% in weight, and as always 50% in head.  It's crazy to me as to how much she's grown in just the last week.  She...
-waves hi and bye.
-said her first word (besides "ya" and "hi")!  Mamma!!!  Which is so appropriate because we all know who she loves most!;)
-can go from a lying to sitting position.
-can pull up on furniture and has almost mastered walking along side it.
-has started to stand and let go of things.
-cut her two top teeth (that makes two bottom, two top).

She has recently also discovered that she can poop in the tub.  She had so much fun the first time that it happened, that she decided to do it the following two days after that.  We love our beautiful, bright, McKinlee and we thank our Heavenly Father every day that we get to have her be apart of our family.

Eight Months Old

pictures taken at six months

It's been a while, but here's an update on our sweet little pumkin'.  Her last check-up was at six months and her percentiles were 25% in weight and 75% in height.

Kinlee's latest and greatest feats...
  • lower two bottom teeth (6 months old)
  • sitting up
  • army crawling (7 months old)
Kinlee's favorites...
  • paper
  • cords
  • bags
  • tags (usually the first thing she notices on toys and shirts and probably her favorite thing about them too)
  • faces and tongues (she has no boundries when it comes to faces)
  • to be chased (with someone holding on to her hands while she runs)
  • watching mom dance like a crazy woman to the Wii
We love everything about McKinlee, from her beautiful smile to her busy but gentle personality.  She is such a good baby!

The Latest

I can't believe it's already September!!! For the first time in twenty years, school has started without me! I miss being apart of the new school year excitement, BUT I absolutely love being home with McKinlee. It's my biggest and best dream come true!

Kinlee gets bigger every day. I love seeing her reach new milestones, but the time is going by way to fast! I'm sad to say that she has most definitely out grown the newborn stage. At fifteen weeks, she reached her latest and greatest feat, rolling over (both ways). At her four month check-up, she measured 50% in all weight, height, and head. She's still doing great at bf, but she also started homemade solids (rice cereal, peas, and avocado... so far). She's just recently transitioning from nineish hours of sleep to a good solid twelve. She'll be five months this coming Wednesday.

Kraig has been crazy busy with work! Last year, Kraig was responsible for the Park City and Salt Lake market. The company had so much success, that this year, Kraig's just been over Salt Lake (Eckels hired another estimator to be over Park City). He has a very competitive nature and is working hard to meet some goals. We all look forward the time he'll have "off" in the winter. We feel so lucky that he has such a great job.

As for me, my summer has been filled with some serious homemaking. I take care of McKinlee, clean, and cook. And if I'm being honest with my self... LOTS of shopping! To some, my days would seem pretty boring, but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love it all!!! Right down to those sweet baby toes!

P.S. There is one thing I could do without... and that's all this hair I'm losing! I vacuum big ol' hair balls of my floor multiple times a week! Just when I think I can't possibly lose any more, out comes another hand full! How am I not already bald?!
